A delivery driver suffered an accident at work and received over £7000 of compensation.
David McCullogh, while working for 3663 Ltd, was on a delivery run to the Newmarket Burger King. His van door was faulty and it slammed shut trapping his hand. The fire brigade had to be called out and they used specialist cutting equipment to free him.
He was forced to take 7 weeks of work, after which fortunately his hand healed well.
David pursued a claim for compensation. As his van door was known to be defective, 3663 Ltd settled out of court for just over £7000.
David now has a new driving position with a different company.
