Two sisters who ended up in hospital after getting riddled with bites from bed bugs are claiming for compensation against the hotel they stopped in.
The Daily Mail is reporting sisters Carmen and Joy McDonagh’s had chosen to stay in the Airways Hotel, Pimlico where they received over 100 bites from the critters.
The sisters were taken to a hospital in London, after suffering from flu-like symptoms, itching and aches, where they received anti biotics’ and anti histamines to counteract the swelling and nausea brought on by the bites.
A spokesman for the hotel denied that there was an infestation. But the hotel later agreed to an out of court settlement and the sisters received £1,600 in personal injury compensation.
